Maroon 5 Covers Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds"

Adam Levine, James Valentine, and the rest of Maroon 5 put their own legally licensed spin on Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" and while I LOVE it, the track is causing quite a stir of online criticism.

The conflict comes down to a few factors:

1. Bob Marley fans angrily assuming Maroon 5 "stole" the song when it was actually licensed with all proper royalties paid and credit given (does NOT need to be directly in song title)

2. Maroon 5 fans worrying the band went full-reggae because they haven't heard the legendary original track

3. Confusion over what the heck is going on with all the CGI motion-capture the band did for the video. Personally, I don't think it matches the song at all.

What do you think of the cover itself? I think Adam Levine clearly knows that Bob Marley can't be copied or topped when it comes to reggae.
