In a brief clip, which JT shared on Instagram on Wednesday (January 17), the pop titan can be seen seating in an empty loft in front of several television screens airing protests, destruction and everything else you basically see on CNN nowadays. Backed by the light illuminated by the city skyscrapers, Timberlake offers empty stares at the screens as credits to the visual flash at the bottom corner of the video.
"Supplies" was directed by the famed Dave Meyers, who recently worked on Kendrick Lamar's "LOYALTY" and Camila Cabello's "Havana." In addition to tagging Meyers, JT tagged Pharrell and actress Eiza Gonzalez Reyna. Set your alarm clocks because the clip premieres tomorrow morning at 8 AM ET.
"Supplies" is featured on Timberlake's forthcoming album, Man of the Woods, which was previewed in a new four-minute trailer. "I guess I would describe it as 'modern Americana with 808s,'" Timberlake said in the clip, describing the "wide range of sonics" found on the LP. The album features collaborations from Timbaland, Alicia Keys, and Chris Stapleton.
