Yeah he's tall, yeah he's Canadian, and yeah he looks an awful lot like Shawn Mendes!
Shawn poked fun at James Corden on last night's episode (part of a weeklong Shawn Mendes mini residency on the show similar to what Harry Styles has done) by completely dominating him in a subway station song cover battle. Fun fact: LA has one of the WORST and most useless transit systems on the face of the earth, so using a subway station set in the studio was a much better move.
There's a good mix of classic artists like James Blunt along with Backstreet Boys and some more current tunes like Rihanna and Calvin Harris' "We Found Love".
Spoiler alert, once Shawn came down from the ceiling dressed as an angel while singing, it was pretty clear who would take home the imaginary cover crown. That said, Corden sounds AMAZING at the beginning of the video. It's easy to overlook what a talented host he really is and his chemistry with Shawn is undeniable.
