The Ground Round in Johnson City has closed down permanently. According to Fox40's Amy Hogan, the announcement was made via a sign on the door (pictured below) thanking customers and staff for their support over the last decade.
The Ground Round Grill & Bar would like to thank all of our loyal customers and staff, who have supported us during the last 10 years. We are sorry to say that we must close our doors.
A reporter from WBNG said that even the manager who worked last night's closing shift was caught off-guard when he arrived and saw the sign in the window this morning.
From the free popcorn up front to the wonderfully welcoming staff and (of course) the burgers, I'm going to miss Ground Round!
