Kelly Clarkson Backs Lip-Syncing Mom Who Used Her Song To Embarrass Her Son

Kelly Clarkson is all for moms embarrassing their kids, especially when they use her music to do it.

The "Love So Soft" singer sent her stamp of approval after a video of a mom lip-syncing her hit "Since You Been Gone" at a University of Maryland basketball game, beside her mortified son, went viral. "This is my kind of mama šŸ¤£šŸ˜œ #ThatKidIsNotHavinIt šŸ˜†," she captioned the retweeted video Wednesday (December 12).

As shown in the video, the mom, who was later identified as Mandy Remmell, and her 10-year-old son, Blake, were randomly put on the arena's fan cam. Instead of waving, as many people do, Mandy began to sing Kelly's song which was being played in the arena. At first, Blake seemed oblivious to his mom lip-syncing for the camera. However, once she put her phone up to her lips, pretending like it was a microphone, and began serenading him, that's when her severely embarrassed son began hiding his face in complete horror. Mandy didn't stop though, continuing to sing the song and dance to the beat for over 50 seconds!

"We were just having a great time," Mandy told Good Morning America after the clip went viral. "They were doing the fan cam, and people were singing in the crowd and they were scanning the audience. My son looked up at me and is like 'Weā€™re on TV, and youā€™re still here singing.'"

"I just started singing right to him," she added. "I figured it would embarrass the crap out of him because by then, everyone was kind of cheering and clapping, so we just kept on singing."

Moms, you gotta love 'em!
