Taylor Swift Performs 'Lover' Songs Live In Paris For The First Time

Taylor Swift City of Lover Concert at L'Olympia

Taylor Swift brought a whole lot of love to the City of Lights last night.

The “ME!” singer-songwriter premiered a number of songs from her new album, Lover, live in Paris for the very first time Monday night (September 9). According to fan-shot videos circulating online, Swift held a special “City of Lover” acoustic concert at L’Olympia Bruno Coquatrix, where she live-debuted a couple cuts from her seventh studio album, including “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” “Cornelia Street,” “You Need to Calm Down,” and “The Archer.”

“Tonight in Paris!!! Thank you to everyone who flew from all over the world to be at the City of Lover Concert!” the 29-year-old superstar wrote on Instagram with pictures from the event.

Swift’s Paris concert is the latest in exciting moments for the pop star this year.

Weeks after its release, the songbird’s latest work topped the Billboard 200 chart, making Lover her sixth number-one album. What’s more, the LP recorded the year’s highest first-week sales in the United States in its first day alone with 867,000 units sold. Oh, and did we mention she was named the world’s highest paid woman in music this year, too? (Swifties, rejoice!)

Last month, Swift alluded to (albeit never confirmed) taking Lover on the road, possibly in February 2020. When speaking about the challenges of planning things in advance, Swift told CBS Sunday Morning, "That puts me into what I call a 'panic spiral,' adding that "six months" is as far out as she goes.
