Pillsbury Is Changing Cookie Dough Formula So It's Safe to Eat Raw or Baked

Parents get ready for a sigh of relief. No more worrying or wondering whether or not raw cookie dough is safe for kids to eat.

According to Delish, Pillsbury is changing up its refrigerated cookie dough formula so that it’s safe to eat raw or baked.

The proof has been posted by Instagrammer @Candyhunting! The new packaging for the Pillsbury Chocolate Chunk & Chip cookie dough says it’s safe to eat raw or baked.

And thanks to heat-treated flour and pasteurized eggs to kill off possible foodborne pathogens, all of Pillsbury’s cookie dough and brownie dough will be safe to eat either way by the end of summer 2020.
