Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is known among many 90's kids and skaters in general as perhaps the greatest skateboarding video game series of all-time. Even though there is some competition with the Skate series from Microsoft, Tony Hawk createrd a skate culture revolution when his game series was first rolled out in 1999. The maps were truly fun levels (remember the one where if you grinded across the blades of a parked helicopter, it would take off in one level?), the charaters were recreations of some of skating's biggest names, and the punk-rock / ska soundtrack was truly supreme. Perfect in nearly every way!
Today the man himself revealed that a NEW Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC this fall complete with the original maps, skaters, and yes... that legendary soundtrack! The game will be a combination of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2, will include new features as well, and comes out on September 4th!
