Elon Musk wanted to show Jay Leno some of the coolest aspects of Tesla's futuristic cybertruck, so the two took a quick spin around Tesla's Hawthorne headquarters. The bulletproof design, weight-supporting bed cover, and fantastic acceleration all seemed to win Leno over as the pair cruised around. At one point, as they neared SpaceX HQ, Musk pointed out that the 1.5 mile test tunnel for his Boring Company starts in the parking lot. Cool fact... but I never expected them to drive in it! Turns out, the Cyberptruck had never been driven in a tunnel like that, but seemed to do the job just fine.. albeit with little room to spare.
My favorite part of the video is when Musk opened up about how show vehicles and the production models customers receive can be very different and he wanted to make sure customers received what they saw on tv rather than a downgraded version. Apparently the main tweak needed is reducing the vehicle's size so that it can fit in a standard garage.
