Jo Calderone is no more.

Lady Gaga recently sat down with Vanity Fair for a lie detector test, published Wednesday (February 19), where she revealed the fate of her edgy alter ego, who she first debuted during her Born This Way era, per People. As she was shown a photo of her as Calderone, Gaga took a moment before revealing the heartbreaking news.

"Oh, this person is no longer with us," she said. The "Abracadabra" singer appears to be serious, too, as she didn't set off the polygraph, meaning she was telling the truth.

Calderone, described by The Hollywood Reporter as "supposedly a mechanic from Sicily," made his first appearance in 2011 and starred opposite Gaga in the music video for "Yoü and I." Gaga also notably stayed fully in character at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, performing with Queen guitarist Brian May and presenting an award to Britney Spears.

Elsewhere in the polygraph interview, Gaga revealed whether or not she would ever wear another meat dress like the iconic look she rocked on the 2010 MTV VMAs red carpet.

The "Disease" singer, who is entering her Mayhem era ahead of the album's release on March 7, also recently reflected on another blast from the past when she confirmed a mind-blowing confession about one of her biggest hits.

R.I.P. Jo Calderone, you will be missed.
