Britney Spears is taking a step back from social media after recent posts have raised concerns.
According to People, the "Baby One More Time" singer has seemingly deleted or deactivated her Instagram account, with the page no longer appearing on the platform as of Sunday (November 2). When searching for Spears' account, which featured the name Xila Maria River Red, the page now states "the profile may have been removed." Her account on X, formerly Twitter, is still available to view.
Some fans and family members have reportedly voiced concerns for the pop princess in recent weeks following some worrying and cryptic posts she shared on Instagram. A post shared October 7 sparked concerns after she was spotted with bruising on her arms and bandages on her hands, though she explained the injuries as being a result of falling down stairs. Another post saw her opening up more about her time in rehab in 2018 while still under her 13-year conservatorship and the "traumatic" experiences she endured during that time.
The move also comes weeks after her ex-husband Kevin Federline made shocking claims against the "Toxic" hitmaker, including bombshell accusations that she watched their sons, Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19, sleeping while holding a knife."
However, a rep for the singer slammed the allegations as "profiting" off his ex-wife and noting that his remarks come "after child support has ended." The rep added that "all [Spears] cares about are her kids Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensation." Spears later hit back directly with a lengthy response calling out her ex's "lies" and saying she has "had enough."
