Last week, a lovely listener named Jamie shared this live cam with me of April the giraffe from Animal Adventure Park out in Harpursville. In the time since, April's story has exploded on a national level!
There have been several fake streams and even a few false early reports that April already gave birth, but the baby is NOT here quite yet. Even the vet's magic 8 ball can't keep predict its arrival!
According to the Press & Sun Bulletin, there will be a contest to name the baby after birth and it will allow the public to nominate a name on a to-be-launched GoFundMe page benefiting the park, giraffe conservation efforts, and an annual fundraiser.
