Box Office Breakdown : 'Halloween' Stays Strong For A Second Week

This past weekend was a HUGE one for horror films. Halloween, a direct sequel to the classic film about a mask-wearing murderer, smashed franchise records with a strong opening weekend and just wrapped up a second strong week in theaters. . Jamie Lee Curtis, who was in the original, starred in the film along with the original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle.

Hunter Killer starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman hit theaters Friday. The military thriller is centered around an American submarine captain (Butler) working to track down a missing U.S. sub in a situation that quickly escalates to a global threat.
