DETAILS: Binghamton Ice Fest and Chili Competition

Local nonprofit Broome Winterworks Inc. is bringing fun right into the heart of the city this weekend with Binghamton Ice Fest, happening downtown this Saturday from 11a-4p. The hours of the event may be impacted by the winter storm expected to hit this weekend and all updates will be posted on the official event page.

The event will feature chili from 15 different chili servers all trying to take top honor in the chili competition. Chili tasting tickets can be purchased from a booth in the metro center plaza off Court Street.

Chili tasting ticket prices are:

  • 3 tickets for $5
  • 7 tickets for $10
  • 15 tickets for $20 - also includes ballot to vote for the people's choice best chili award

Binghamton Ice Fest will also include:

  •  8 single block ice carvings on display
  • 2 separate ice carving demonstrations
  • 1 hockey themed carved ice design for photo opportunities for the family
  • 1 ice throne design for photo opportunities for the family
  • 1 ice fire tower 
  • A mobile petting zoo from Animal Adventure Park
