When Disney's live-action Aladdin teaser trailer dropped awhile back, fans were furious at Will Smith's appearance as the iconic Genie. The blue hue on him looked almost like a snapchat/insta lens and thankfully, Disney changed things up and proved that the character will take on many (better-looking) appearances throughout the film.
So what's better about the new trailer other than Genie? For starters, it's clear that the budget for the movie is insane considering the large number of beautifully crafted physical sets on display in addition to the impressive CGI that, when combined, make the city of Agrabah feel truly alive. It also sounds like the plot hasn't been altered too much from the original, which is a big plus in my book.
Let me know what you think of the trailer! Will you be seeing Aladdin when it hits theaters May 24th?
