The legendary return of Woodstock is no longer happening. Festival organizers told Billboard Magazine that the cancellation was because:
"...despite our tremendous investment of time, effort and commitment, we don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees."
Jay-Z, Imagine Dragons, Dead & Company, Santana, Miley Cyrus, The Killers, Chance The Rapper, and Halsey were just a few of the artists slated to perform this August. Billboard went on to cite concerns with Watkins Glen International Speedway's overall capacity as another factor in the festival's cancellation.
