Disney has been dropping boatloads of new details at its D23 expo including the ridiculously immersive Star Wars hotel they're working on but the real highlight was the premiere of a new Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker trailer. In it, you can see some incredible worldbuilding (especially the festival at 1:15), a MASSIVE armada of older imperial era Star Destroyers, and the what looks to be an evil (or temporarily evil) C-3P0 with glowing red eyes. Rey is shown as a Sith toward the end with a new switchblade-esque double sided red lightsaber that really drives home her turn toward the dark side. Will it be permanent or will she resist the temptation and turn back toward the light side? Only one way to find out!
Catch Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker when it hits theaters December 20th. Don't forget that both AMC in Vestal and Regal Binghamton tend to do Thursday night screenings (sometimes as early as 6PM) the day before films officially come out. Totally worth it!
