Disney's live action remake of Mulan will no longer be hitting theaters on March 27th. The decision to postpone the film comes in the wake of a sweeping series of delays and cancellations all driven by the Coronavirus pandemic. In a statement shared by the movie's official Twitter account, director Niki Caro shared that the cast and crews' hearts are with all those affected by the virus and she hoped that Mulan's fighting spirit would continue to inspire those working to keep others safe.

Mulan is not the only major film to see its release date postponed. 007: No Time To Die, Fast & Furious 9, and A Quiet Place Part II are all highly anticipated films that were also pushed back as a result of the virus. Film and television production has been seriously impacted, leading to many shows including Ellen, The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and even Dr. Phil to film without audiences or halt production altogether.
