Marble Racing is surprisingly exciting to watch

Stuck inside with a strong case of boredom? Gotcha covered! I stumbled across this obscure YouTube channel called Jelle's Marble Runs, which is packed with a variety of surprisingly exciting marble races. The race tracks are "Marbula One" themed complete with crowds made of marbles, crowd noise, and commentary for you to enjoy while rooting for your favorite marble, and yes.... you will have a favorite marble within the first minute or so of watching.

With no major sporting events to watch right now and the 2020 olympics being postponed, it's the perfect time to dive in and find something obscure and unique to start following. For me, it was Marbula One! It's amazing how one marble can be 3-4 seconds ahead of the rest for most of the race, going around the exact same track, and suddenly for whatever reason the rest of the pack catches up and passes it last second. Happy to report my friends and I spend from 430-5AM yesterday (Sunday) screaming and rooting for an orange marble. To be fair, that marble ended up winning the race I was watching!

Idea: It would be amazing (though probably legally murky) if they could allow some sort of charitable betting where you make a donation (guaranteed to go to Coronavirus relief efforts) and put that money on a certain marble. If your favorite marble wins the race, the total donation amount (from all charitable bets placed on that marble) would be doubled or have some other amount added to it. If your marble loses, your money would still go to relief efforts. Just a very simple and possibly infeasible thought!
